Fatigue management

Fatigue is more than being tired. We use evidence-based pacing and energy conservation to help you spend your limited energy on the things that matter most — and avoid the crash afterwards.

What we do

  • An activity and rest diary to map where your energy actually goes across a typical week.
  • A personalised pacing plan that breaks demanding tasks into manageable stages.
  • Energy conservation techniques for washing, dressing, cooking, housework, shopping and work tasks.
  • Practical changes to your environment and equipment, such as seating, perching stools and task layout.
  • Strategies for sleep routines, boom-and-bust cycles and planning around important events.
  • Support with graded return to work, study, hobbies and family life, with review appointments as you progress.

Who it's for

  • Adults living with long COVID, ME/CFS, multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia.
  • People recovering from cancer treatment or a stem cell transplant.
  • Anyone with chronic pain, long-term conditions or post-hospital deconditioning.
  • People who manage well on good days then crash for several days afterwards.
  • Those who would benefit from OT input but face long NHS waits or fall outside eligibility criteria.
