Falls prevention
Most falls at home are preventable. We look at your home, your movement and your daily routine together, then make practical changes that reduce your risk and rebuild your confidence.
What we do
- A room-by-room falls risk screen covering flooring, lighting, thresholds, stairs and bathroom access.
- Assessment of how you stand, walk, transfer and turn during everyday tasks — not just in a clinic setting.
- Review of footwear, walking aids and existing equipment, with impartial recommendations for rails, seating and lighting.
- Confidence-building strategies for stairs, bathing, getting in and out of bed and going outdoors.
- A clear plan for what to do if you do fall, including how to get up safely and how to summon help.
- A written report with prioritised actions you can share with family, carers, your GP or a contractor.
Who it's for
- Adults who have had one or more falls, trips or near-misses at home.
- People who have become fearful of falling and are doing less as a result.
- Those living with reduced balance, stroke, Parkinson's, arthritis, low vision or dizziness.
- Families and carers who are worried about a relative living alone.
- Anyone facing a long NHS wait, or who falls outside current NHS eligibility criteria.
